A very popular book written back in 1995 that I was drawn to during my New Age-seeker time period. I remember reading the follow-up book and it reminded me more of Don Quixote and his drug induced altered states, so I stopped being a fan and came to some conclusions. First - a lot of the authors in New Age make big bucks and two that their theories and enlightments didn't hold water over time. It wasn't until I let go of all the New Age hype and started over that I was able to find the truth. Between the classes and materials I studies at George Fox, my primary instructor's witnessing, John - my husband, and 2nd Street Church members, my heart and eyes were opened to having a relationship with Jesus. Now I don't fall pray to every self-gratifying promise scheme that's out there. My fears and concerns are answered by God and I'm not running around looking for "my higher self". Do you remember the song that started with "Bring me a higher love"? I remember hearing that song and wishing it would come true. Well it has - even after I was lost in the hype that so many seekers get lost in - thank you Jesus for never letting me go!

Kathy RasberryKathy Rasberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14175943748319114244noreply@blogger.com
